As the league admin you will be required to stay on top of trades accepting or declining. Monitoring the chat box and banning specific people out of it who cause problems and help with cleaning sections of old posts with your admin powers.

1) yes and no....after aquiring Jordan Staal its understandable that the Canes want some star power to make a serious push but Alex Semin at 7mil is expensive...its only one year so it could be kind of like a trial run for Semin to redeem himself, if he could proove his worth and get an extension this could be an extremely beneficial move for Carolina

2) easily Nathan MacKinnon...first of all theirs the curse of drafting Russian players with a top 10 pick...second of all Nathan is an extremely skilled talent who's had slight comparisons to Sid, but with a bit of an edge. He cant throw hits that Crosby would neevr even dream of throwing but he's also a tremendous skater and very hard to knock off the puck. MacKinnon would be the piece will be building their offense around for years to come

3) IRL that trade made total sense for both teams... has an extremely young defense with undeniable potential (Gardiner, Rielly, Percy, Finn, Franson) and defense is starting to get older and worn out (Timo and Pronger) dont get me wrong Mesz and Cobourn are great but they arent players who can play big minutes day in and day out and lead a franchise's blueline...offensively needs some size and some star power to round out their top 6 , they had decent supporting characters but JVR was really that missing link (Kessel/JVR will be interesting to see together next year) as for they have solid offensive players in Voracek and Briere and Schenn and Couturier made a case for themselves this season, and newly drafted prolific scorer Scott Laughton has great offensive potenital, so their is a bright future in the city of brotherly love even with the loss of JVR

In sim leagues this is really more complicated....it would depend on each team's needs, on the files being used (ex. USLC schenn went up 4 oa in less than 4 months) but on Vik's files without boosts and if the trade is made near the beginning of the league when both teams' needs are the same as IRL i would give it an accept

1) Was the Alexander Semin signing a good signing yes or no and why? I believe so, If they want to become a serious contender they need a sniper, but this can be bad, 7 Million is a lot. They had the right idea, but the salary is a bit too much in my opinion.

2) If you were the Blue Jackets would you pick Nathan Mackinin or Saha Barkov #1 overall and why? Well, matters on how they develop. But at this time, I would Draft Nathan, he is a great player with a good stature, The Bluejackets need to convince themselves that they have got him as their next superstar, and they need to suround him with talent. and also wont draft russians

In these new files yes. IN Vik 2011 Files not at all. But it also depends on what the team needs

Why?

Well, both imrpove a slight bit in the newer file. But they stay around the same area, in the vik file, you could guarentee that JVR will beast and Schenn will go up about 2 OA. But in the newer file. Both go up to around the same amount. And then again. A team with extreme offensive power could deal JVR to get some defense on their team. It all matters about the team In my opinion. Both are almost around the same value

I think yes because Carolina needed more fire power on the offense and semin is just the guy for that. But if semin turns out to be lazy like he was on washington then 7mil is way to much for him.

Nathan Mackinin because he is the perfect forward to bulid the offense around for years and years.

In a sim league it may be passed depends on what each team needs. If JVR is going to a team who needs offense and someone to help there goal scoring it is a good trade. Same as if Luke Schenn was going to a team that needs defense help.

I would say yes because Semin will add alot to the Carolina Offense which has the staal brothers and ruutu and skinner. The Canes have a sick top 6 now and with the signing of Semin it help them for a playoff push. Plus its only a 1 year deal which is great for the Canes if semin doesnt workout so well he will be gone. but overall i think it was a smart signing for the canes.

2) If you were the Blue Jackets would you pick Nathan Mackinin or Saha Barkov #1 overall and why?
I would pick MacKinion simply because he will be the best player between the 2. He has shown potenial of a level that only Crosby and Stammer is on. The Jackets would have their franchise player after the trading of Rick Nash.

I would let it pass because both players are still in their early 20's and needed a change of scenery. JVR is usally 70 - 70 - 70 for a example in most leagues and schenn is usually around of the same overall. It was a solid deal for both teams in RL and in a league it would be aswell. Overall both are same value and had great forward depth and JVR could be traded and needed a defenseman like schenn.

I would also like to add the last time i was admin here which was before the league died. you could ask mostly anyone i deleted and cleared out the old forum and managed the teams avail, take and GM List and always voted and each and single trade. I think i would make a great choice again as i only got to do it once.

The Alexander Semin signing was a good signing because it gives a good chance for Carolina to have a good offence and the fact that Carolina only signed Semin for one year is good because if Semin doesn't do too good, he won't be coming back. If he does do good, it'll help Carolina possibly make the playoffs and possibly a cup run thus making Semin happy and wanting to resign back.

2) If you were the Blue Jackets would you pick Nathan Mackinin or Saha Barkov #1 overall and why?
I would pick Nathan Mackinin because he's the better of the two and already losing Rick Nash, he could be their winger of the future for years to come replacing Rick Nash. But in the end, I would wait in see but at this moment, if the draft was no, Mackinin is the way to go.

For Toronto, they lost Luke Schenn but they good a winger back and possibly their number 1 center. Unlikely but possibly. While they gave up a defender with quite a bit of potential, they drafted Morgan Reilly first thus giving them a chance to trade Luke Schenn in the first place. For Phili, they gave up a pretty good winger but Phili right now already have lots of offence with out JVR anyways. With Giroux, Briere and Hartnell and having Simmonds, Schenn (Brayden) and Couturier all ready to go, it didn't leave too much room for JVR anyways and having a weak defence, Schenn could be a good defender for them if he develops properly. So in the end, both teams got what they wanted and they both could afford it

you are the 3rd admin I have made Stew the 4th as he is always an admin in my leagues PAUL, BOLTS,TARON you 3 are battling for the 5th and final spot, you will be a backup incase one admin can't make it on or if Stew decides he does not want to be an admin this time around.

out of the 3 remaining idk Lucas too much but Taron has quite some admin experience since the UHL days

Thats true thats why I am debating it so hard lol I like giving people chances. I will have my decision by tommorow though.

to keep the league active i'll keep the admin job this season, and next season i'll step down

- 1 admin will remain for next season. That admin will be the one who I feel has done the best job during the season so 3 jobs will be available for next year.

- I enjoy mixing it up and giving people a chance.
