The Rick Nash sega is finnaly over as Nash was shipped of to The Rangers along with minor league defenseman Steve Delisie and a conditional 3rd round pick . Heading to the Jackets is Forward Artem Anismov, Brandon Dubinsky, Defense prospect Tim Erixon and a 1st round pick. Nash who had asked for a trade out of Columbus has been on the block since before the trade deadline. Jackets GM Scott Howson has been criticized for holding out on the Nash trade to try and get the best possible return for the Jackets captain although it would apear that there were better offers on the table. Between Howson holding out and rick nash only agreeing to wave his NMC to a few teams it is good to see the ordeal to be over with. The Jackets add twon top 6 forwards to a poor forward crop and add another defensive prospect to a good young core. Thee rangers add one of the best power forwards in the league and will likely play with a pass first centre in Brad Richards and Sniper Marion Gaborik, Nash can be the final peice to an already strong rangers team.
