Do you guys want the 35 and over rule

So how I do this is anyone that is over 35 right now and retires you are not hit.

It only counts for the players that you personally sign I will keep a post to keep track. I do it where you are responsible for half of the players salary untill the contract is over. That player would go under you extra players on your salary cap.

That is option 1

Only having the players who are the retiring bring backs count as the 35 plus

or option 3 is not having them

I wouldn't mind having a 35+ if we sign the contract @ 1/2 price (option 1)... Would be great since I've seen people offer Shane Doan 7.5M/year for 4 year deal and if we can keep contracts down and not into the range of crazy it'd be perfect

yea i dont mind it, theyre are some guys that dont fall into the bidding wars for ufa's like myself, so if some1 wants to throw a 3 yr deal at a 36 yr old i believe they should have to suffer the consequences. in the end it will make them a better gm.

if its easy enough for you to keep track of ryan, i truly believe that 95% of the guys here wont offer more than a year to an old ufa anyway
